Cairo International Centre for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction
CICLLR is Africa and the Middle East's longest-running dedicated limb lengthening centre, established 1996. Prof Elbatrawy was the first to introduce the Ponseti method in Egypt (1998) and introduced the PRECICE Stryde nail for cosmetic femoral lengthening in Cyprus in 2019, enabling full weight-bearing during distraction. He holds ASAMI fellowship (Catagni) and a doctoral degree from the University of Maryland, the only Egyptian surgeon with this combination of Ilizarov-Paley-Herzenberg training lineage.
