Background
McCoy is an Assistant Professor in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedic Surgery who joined the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2021 and was recruited to build a dedicated pediatric limb-reconstruction program, announced in November 2024 to close a regional care gap so families no longer need to travel to Baltimore or Philadelphia.
