Background
Dr. Mehta earned a BA in the Integrated Science Program and Biology from Northwestern University (1996) and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington, and an AO fellowship at the University of Saarland Medical School in Germany. He is Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma and Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Penn, Medical Director for Clinical Research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and Co-Director of the Penn Orthoplastic Limb Salvage Center, with clinical interests in pelvic and acetabular fractures, peri-articular fractures, limb salvage, and nonunions/malunions.
