Background
Morshed is Chief of the UCSF Division of Orthopaedic Trauma and holds the Lowenberg Family Endowed Professorship in Orthopedic Trauma Reconstruction and Osteomyelitis; he is part of the UCSF Pediatric Limb Lengthening and Complex Reconstruction team, focusing on traumatic skeletal injuries, pelvis and acetabulum surgery, and problem fractures including malunions and nonunions. He earned his medical degree from UCSF School of Medicine in 2001, a master's in public health and a doctorate in epidemiology from UC Berkeley, and completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
