Background
Dr. Standard earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia (1995) and completed his orthopaedic residency there (2000) and a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida (2001). He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and practiced at the International Center for Limb Lengthening, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, from 2003 to 2023 before returning to Nemours to found and chief the International Limb Correction Center. His subspecialties include limb lengthening and repair, deformity correction, Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease and congenital pseudarthrosis. He belongs to the AAOS, the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society (ASAMI-North America) and POSNA, and has co-developed several medical devices and authored a book on limb alignment.
