Background
Daniele Pili trained in medicine and surgery across Italy, Germany (Freie Universität Berlin), and the United Kingdom, reaching senior registrar level at a Cambridge University-affiliated hospital in Peterborough. He was selected by SIOT (Italian Society of Orthopedic Traumatologists) to represent Italy at the 2011 London Travelling Fellowship, where he compared experience with leading European surgeons. His Ilizarov Fellowship under the pioneering Professor Maurizio Angelo Catagni in Lecco anchors his limb reconstruction practice; he continues to collaborate closely with Catagni while independently practising at Columbus Clinic Centre in Milan, with additional sessions in Sardinia and Palermo.
