Background
Peter H. Thaller has led the 3D-Surgery program at LMU Munich since 1997 and extended it to Bethel Clinic Berlin, coining the '3D-Surgery' designation for the triad of bony Defects, Deformities, and Discrepancies. Known internationally as 'Mr. Millimeter' for his precision-first philosophy, he has performed more than 1,000 motorised intramedullary lengthening procedures using five different systems. In 2019 he became the first surgeon in Europe to perform fully weight-bearing quadrilateral lengthening with deformity correction using the latest-generation nail. He runs annual multi-day international 3D-Surgery courses attended by colleagues from more than 20 countries.
