Wook-Cheol Kim, MD, is Hospital President (院長) and Ilizarov Center Director at Uji Takeda Hospital, and a Clinical Professor at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (KPUM), Department of Orthopaedics. He earned his medical degree from Shinshu University School of Medicine in March 1982, spent roughly 24 years in KPUM's Department of Pediatric Orthopaedics, and completed a Mayo Clinic research fellowship in external fixation before returning to Japan.
