Princess Grace Hospital, London
Led by Dr. Jean-Marc Guichet, MD, PhD (NYU), PhD (Marseille), Doct. Sci; GMC No. 4569914; MBBS equivalent (France); Senior Lecturer Honorary Consultant, Paediatric Limb Reconstruction Service, University of Sheffield. Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon — Cosmetic & Reconstructive Limb Lengthening
Google listing has only 2 reviews — very thin social proof. No Trustpilot profile found. A 2024 news report (The Star, Kenya) referenced a malpractice settlement from a patient who experienced femur fracture and device failure after London cosmetic lengthening — the surgeon's name was not confirmed in the article text as Guichet specifically; do not attribute without verification. Cosmetic stature lengthening is ethically controversial and a press/regulatory risk area (Euronews 2025 UK doctor alarm piece). Albizzia nail is largely superseded by PRECICE in mainstream practice; Guichet nail is a proprietary device not widely adopted elsewhere. Google Places address shows 9 Harley Street; PHIN shows 30 Devonshire Street as consulting room — both used. | email via lead surgeon

Why we listed this clinic
Dr Jean-Marc Guichet is the inventor of two commercially significant intramedullary limb lengthening nails — the Albizzia nail (1987) and the Guichet nail (patented 2009) — and is internationally recognised as a pioneer of fully weight-bearing cosmetic limb lengthening. Over 30 years he has published extensively, been included in Marquis Who's Who in the World (2021), and consulted for implant manufacturers including Landos, DePuy, and Medinov. He is the only surgeon in this dataset who invented the devices he implants, and his bilateral cosmetic procedures have achieved same-day discharge in selected patients.

Verification covers: named surgeon credentials, hospital affiliation, methods offered, public-facing website, and regulatory status. We re-verify quarterly. If a clinic fails a re-verification, we add an editorial note or demote its tier — we do not quietly remove it.
Independence: this clinic cannot pay to change its ranking, Directory Score, tier, or reviews. Paid options affect presentation only and are always labeled. We take no commission and charge no per-patient fee. Editorial policy.
This directory is editorial. It is not medical advice, an endorsement, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified surgeon. Pricing and availability change — always verify directly with the clinic before making decisions.
