Background
South African-trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in limb lengthening and reconstruction, orthopaedic trauma, and foot and ankle surgery. Performed the first intramedullary PRECICE nail implant in Africa (May 2013, Netcare Unitas, Centurion) together with Dr Phillip de Lange. Recognised internationally as a world authority in circular fixators; his Pretoria practice was designated an international training centre for external fixation and limb reconstruction techniques.
