Background
Peter R. Calder is a Consultant Paediatric and Limb Reconstruction Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, appointed in January 2005, and also practises at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children. He qualified from St Bartholomew's Hospital (1993), trained via the Royal London specialist orthopaedic registrar programme, and completed a national paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital and RNOH, followed by a Masters Ilizarov Fellowship in Kurgan, Russia. His practice covers paediatric and adult congenital deformity correction and limb reconstruction using Ilizarov and Taylor Spatial Frame techniques. He is current President of the British Limb Reconstruction Society and Associate Medical Director of RNOH.
