Background
Veklich Vitaliy Viktorovich is the founder and chief surgeon of Ladisten Clinic in Kyiv, which he established in 1992, and has practiced orthopedics and traumatology since defending his dissertation in 1986. He graduated from Vinnytsia National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in 1973 with a pediatric-surgery specialization, then completed targeted graduate training at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology (1983), earning a Candidate of Medical Sciences degree for his 1986 dissertation on transosseous osteosynthesis of transcondylar and supracondylar fractures. He holds the highest professional category and modified the Ilizarov external fixator into a lighter titanium version, marketed as the Veklich device, and has published a monograph (2003) and more than 50 scientific articles.
